Haiku Nook G+

Preface of Half A Rainbow by Willie Bongcaron

A few years back and not so long ago, we struggled to establish a home at Google+.  Each baby step we took was a learning experience, with influential and new friends in the haiku world joining us in the quest for a haiku home. Soon those baby steps became bigger steps, and still bigger, until these baby steps became strides and how great the strides have become.

Building a home and a cozy place was not always about laughter and winning. There were times when we were tested by problems and challenges.  But our community persisted because we respected, supported, and guided each other every day, soaring to greater heights. We have created projects that more than support the idea that if we put our selfless minds, hearts, and energies together, nothing is impossible.

So, to all my partners at Haiku Nook, I wish each and everyone the best. I am very sure that most, if not all, shall soar to greater haiku heights because we have learned from each other's failures and cherished each other's successes. We have been the wind beneath each other's wings.

This is definitely not goodbye. Until we meet again!

Cheers!
