about Haiku Nook

We are a volunteer-based haiku community, dedicated to the sharing of haiku, tanka, haibun, and other haikai-related literature. In the process of sharing and celebrating haiku, we are also empowered to make a difference in this world. All proceeds from Desert Rain are donated to ActionAid, The Hunger Project and Water.org.

We have also published 2 additional anthologies: Half A Rainbow (Lulu, 2020) dedicated to haiku poet Rachel Sutcliffe, and Yanty's Butterfly (Lulu, 2016) dedicated to haiku poet Yanty Tjiam. 

Haiku Nook was originally a Google+ private haiku group created by haijin Willie R. Bongcaron. The group now exists on Facebook.
