Yanty's Butterfly is a product of love. It is a tiny seed that was thrown, and left to settle in the rich earth of the haiku world. In due time, it took root, and its young shoot saw the first light several months ago... and the rest is, as they say, a continuous unfolding of haiku moments.

 

Our anthology carries the power of compassion, born from the nurturing attitudes of people who supported each other on their haiku journey. It is about the selfless, and untiring dedication of people who wanted to make a difference, however small it may be, in a world that is increasingly becoming callous, and indifferent. 

 

It is the bayanihan spirit that brought people together with different callings, different world-views, and different beliefs, in appreciation of the 'big H', we reverently call haiku.

 

We shall be forever indebted to the active moderators, and members of Haiku Nook.  Without them, Yanty's Butterfly would not have reached fruition.
